BIS 2009

Entry Form

The Tenth Championship Show for the Central Long Haired Cat Club
was held on Saturday 24th January, 2009 at Nunnery Wood Sports Complex, Spetchley Road, Worcester. Although our numbers were slightly down on last year (only by 10) - 77 Pedigree Longhairs and Exotics; 31 Household Pets and 6 Cats were on Exhibition.

The show ran extremely smoothly with no complaints. Exhibitors were telling us how much they had enjoyed their day with us and were looking forward to next year. Judging was finished in good time and as no more members of the public were coming in we closed the show at 4pm much to everyones delight.

We would like to say a big thank you to all our committee and helpers, especially Pam Tayler and her husband Ken for a wonderful buffet lunch for the judges, stewards, committee and helpers and for the beautiful flower arrangements around the hall.

There was a wide variety of stall which created a lot of interest, especially our own tombola which was a sell out and the raffle, both of these displaying some super prizes.

Next years show will be held on Saturday 23rd January 2010 at Perdiswell Leisure Centre, Bilford Road, Worcester, WR3 8DX. In addition to our beautiful Long Hairs we shall have Semi Long Hairs, Household & Pedigree Pets.

There will be more news about the show at a later date.

ATTENTION ALL CAT OWNERS!

Please read the entry below in relation to a cat burglary that has happened recently.

Hi all,

Just heard that 12, maybe 13 Norwegian Forest Cats have been stolen from the Chelkesi cattery in the Darwen area of Lancashire last night. Their owner was out for a few hours in the evening babysitting for her daughter - when she came back, all of the cat pens were empty. Only one oldie in the house is left.... Maureen lives by herself and is obviously devastated.

Please pass this message on to as many cat friends as you can to raise awareness - the cats may start appearing on the internet/local papers/Loot etc. - I'm hoping it's not something more sinister.

If anybody has any details, please contact Maureen Savage on 01254 708171
