Eleventh Championship Show Report

Our Eleventh Championship Show took place on Saturday 23rd January 2010 at Perdiswell Leisure Centre, Bilford Road, Worcester.  We had an entry of 221 cats, thanks largely to the semi-longhairs being re-instated, it made all the difference to our show.

There were some very beautiful cats present and very few absentees. After the snow of early January, the 23rd was truly a beautiful day. The show ran very smoothly from vetting in and through the day with a very competent group of table workers and other helpers.

We had some lovely rosettes, greatly admired by many. At the end of the day, I had so many exhibitors come up to me and say what a lovely show and such a happy atmosphere and that they will come back again next year.

Our raffle (with a first prize of a 22" television) and tombola raised well over £800.

Judging was completed in good time, and the shoe closed at 4pm, much to the delight of the exhibitors.

Next year our show will be on 22nd January 2011 at the same venue.

WE SHALL BE SHOWING UNDER OUR NEW TITLE 'CENTRAL LONG HAIR and SEMI LONG HAIR CAT CLUB.

It is official Beau is the first Red Shaded Male Cameo Neuter to be awarded the Imperial Title.  He received this at the Central Longhair 2010 show his judge was Mrs I.Bangs.

Beau has had a wonderful show career gaining many Pc's, BOB's, Grand Certificates and firsts he has been nominated many times  and placed  Best in Show.  His first BIS neuter was at the Central show and the following year at the Central was Overall best in show Persian.

He is a lovely boy and has never let us down and we are very lucky to have him he is always admired by visitors to the shows and is a bit of a show off and enjoys all the admiration he receives.

Beau was given to us as a gift from our very special friends Bunny and Charlie Wheelwright who bred him, we will be eternally grateful to them, We have 7 Bunchillies at the moment and sadly we lost our beautiful black smoke GRPR Bunchillie Penny Royal  - Boris who passed away at the age of 16  also won BIS and nominated and given BIS Neuter at the Central  he was our first introduction to showing smokes, and we will always remember him.  He was also a very popular cat at the Central Longhair Show which has always been our favourite show of the year.

Well done Beau.
